The healing power of dogs is widely known to improve the lives of people in schools, kindergartens, nursing homes, and hospitals. We are extremely proud to train special dogs to perform this surprisingly effective social work in a variety of settings here on the Island.
Our dogs are genuine social workers. They provide comfort and support that promotes resilience and well-being.
We welcome school groups on the lodge! The Animal Lodge is also a place where children can safely learn firsthand about the special relationship between animals and people.* Including the importance of respect, responsibility and care for our animal friends and neighbors. Together we can make Jamaica a place where animals and people help each other thrive.
* Our canine ''teaching assistants'' are carefully selected for their temperament and compatibility with young people.
